Boom lake
Well today did not go the way we would have liked, track was real rough in the beginning of the day team Outlaw vintage racing took a 7th in the heat, in the LCQ we ended up 3rd missing the final by one. This week will be a practice and testing wee to find out why the sled changed after installing a new track.

NEW TRACK
Installed the new R series oval race track today with all new stud. We will be running practice on 01/27/2010 to see how everything works, we did some head work which will hopefully help the sleds performance. A BIG thanks to GS TRUCKING LLC for the new track, its great when you have good sponsors to help you through theses rough times.
STELLA RACE
January 16th
Location: Stella Town Hall
Hosted by: Stella Fire Department
NVSRS race day started out real good for the #89 Outlaw Vintage race Team,
Modified 0-503cc
Heat #1 finished 2nd do to a little driver error, corner one came up faster than anticipated (in first at the time) and I over shot it, dropped back to 4th place but regained 2nd place in a 1/2 of lap.
Onto the main event. I started 9th place outside and was in 4th place by corner one, coming out of corner two I was tied for third and in third by corner three, then the unthinkable happened, track clip lodged up in the track taking us out of the race. the way the sled was handling that day I can say we would have finished third or better if not for the break down.

Vintage World Championship
Eagle River WI,
We arrived on Thursday afternoon 01/05/2010 got the hauler all situated and made sure everything was ready for Saturdays heat races. Super Stock 440 Fan was the first race for the Team, First heat we ended up 4th out of nine sleds, bad hole shot and gearing didn't seem to be right, handling was good but not great. Heat 2 we finished 5th out of nine sleds, still no hole shot, track would just spin, Ice seemed very HARD this year. finished 7th in the super stock 440 fan semi finales and missed the main event by one spot.
Super Stock 440FAN
Heat #1 4th place
Heat #2 5th place
Semi finals finished 7th missing the main event by one spot.
Super Stock 440 F/A
Heat #1 we took 4th
Heat #2 finished 6th
Semi Finals finished 7th missing the main event by one spot.
The weekend didn't go the way we planned but things have got to change on how the races are run, the sleds need to be more legal that we run against for the 2011 season.

HARSHAW RACE
January 2nd
Location: Lakewood and Rocky Run Roads
Hosted by: The Harshaw Wanderers
We finished 7th for the day in the 440 F/A Modified class, took 4th in the heat. Harshaws track is very small like a soup bowl, set up and gearing played a big roll in the turn out for Team Outlaw Vintage Racing, the day started out at -20 degrees and only made it to about 5 degrees by the end of the day. We made several changes to the sled for the main event but a missed corner put us in 7th.

Well this weekend Is the Eagle River World Championships, we have been testing for the last week and everything is going good so far, if the sled handles like it has been I know we will have a good chance of making the BIG SHOW, oh and the 440 Free Air class is $5000.00 to win, wouldn't that be nice.
